Job summary

Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, NY is seeking an experienced RN to lead weekend nursing operations as the RN Supervisor Weekend Warrior. You will supervise staff, ensure resident care plans are followed, and maintain regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care.

The role offers a part-time weekend schedule (32 hours paid as 37.5), a rate of $40–$44 per hour, and a sign-on bonus up to $3,750.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid NYS RN License required.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts.
• Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately.
• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families.
• Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services.
• Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience.
• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed.
• Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
