Job summary

Complete Care at Harrington Court in Colchester, CT is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead night shift care for residents transitioning from hospital to long-term care. You will oversee care planning, staff scheduling, and family communication to ensure high-quality nursing.

This role requires CT RN license, prior long-term care experience, and the ability to pass background checks. We offer advancement opportunities and a supportive team that values work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Care Needs & Planning: Assist to implement & revise care plans, monitor health conditions, respond to emergencies.
• Staff Oversight & Scheduling: Oversee assignments, ensure coverage, evaluate staff performance and lead training.
• Family & Team Liaison: Communicate changes to families and work with interdisciplinary team.
• Documentation: Review incidents, transcribe orders and ensure chart accuracy.
• Family, Resident, Staff Education: Explain health status and care expectations, guide care interventions.

Here’s What You’ll Do for Our Residents & Facility:

Care Needs & Planning: Assist to implement & revise care plans, monitors health conditions, supplements direct care needs & responds to emergencies or changes in status

Staff Oversight & Scheduling: Observes care assignments, manages coverage needs, evaluates staff performance, educate & lead staff

Family & Team Liaison: Communicates changes in resident conditions to families/providers, works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team

Documentation: Reviews and investigates incidents, transcribes orders, audits medical charges and maintains record compliance for accuracy

Family, Resident, Staff Education: Explain health status, changes and expectations for care, guides and direct care skills with intervention as needed
