Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Georgia is seeking an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down in a full-time, day shift role. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available. The unit supports patients bridging ICU to medical-surgical care with a dedicated care team and modern technology.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a Georgia RN license.
• New graduates eligible; BLS required.
• Nursing experience in PCU/step-down is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with accountability.
• Coordinate patient care activities with assigned staff and leaders.
• Identify teaching opportunities and provide education to patients and families.
• Document care in patient records and communicate concerns to the care team.
• Oversee ancillary and support staff activities to ensure quality care.
• Maintain standards of practice and participate in professional growth.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, or physician as appropriate.
• Perform patient assessments, data organization, and care planning.
