Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is hiring an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step-Down on a Full Time Day shift. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available.

The unit provides bridge care between ICU and Medical-Surgical, with 24 beds and a supportive team including PCAs and charge nurses. Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing care, patient assessments, care planning, and coordination with the care team to ensure safe, evidence-based outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments using nursing processes and document findings.
• Develop and adjust plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
• Coordinate care with ancillary staff and ensure timely patient flow.
• Communicate concerns to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager as appropriate.
• Deliver care appropriate to patient age and condition across lifecycles.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability in all activities.
