Job summary

Champion-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Center is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to plan and direct educational programs for the facility, ensuring staff competency and compliance with federal, state, and local standards. The role includes orientation, CPR training, and overseeing employee health programs.

You will collaborate with the DNS and leadership to maintain high-quality resident care and promote infection control and staff development across all departments.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of learning principles and training techniques.
• Skilled in developing and conducting training programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff.
• Knowledge of state and federal requirements for accreditation and certification.
• Possesses basic computer skills.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse resident and employee population.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct in-service educational programs for facility staff.
• Coordinate orientation for new employees and CPR training.
• Monitor training documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Assess nursing staff competency through observed skills evaluations and annual competency assessments.
• Develop OSHA and CDC in-service programs for hazard communication, TB management and bloodborne pathogens.
