Job summary

IntersectHC is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the Staff Development Program for the assigned building. The role includes clinical tasks and supporting departments as needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliant training, documenting activities, and delivering orientation for new, rehired, and contract staff, with a focus on clinical competency and CPR training. Collaboration with the DNS and adherence to policy values are essential.

Qualifications

• Nurse with RN license required and BS degree preferred.
• CPR teaching certificate, if applicable, and CE requirements current.
• Three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in long‑term care.
• One year of instructor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of learning principles and training techniques.
• Ability to develop and conduct training programs.
• Familiarity with accreditation and certification requirements.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess staff development needs and design appropriate training programs.
• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate the Staff Development Program.
• Deliver hands‑on clinical orientation to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Conduct state and federal in‑service programs and CPR training.
• Ensure documentation complies with state, federal, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with department budgeting and manage expenditures within budget.
• Travel as needed for facility coverage and training needs.
