Job summary

Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness is seeking an experienced Staff Development Coordinator - RN to administer, plan, develop, evaluate, and educate staff. The role focuses on coordinating all education programs, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards in a geriatric care setting.

Requirements include an RN license and at least one year of experience in planning and directing adult education in nursing; two years of nursing experience and long-term care

Responsibilities

• Evaluates training needs and provides recommendations to the ED and DNS.
• Plans and delivers annual education program schedules.
• Maintains education records including attendance and performance for staff.
• Observes and teaches safety policies to nursing staff.
• Obtains continuing education related to geriatric care and nursing education.
• Identifies problems, reports objectively, and takes corrective action.
