LeadingAge Virginia is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and deliver education and training programs for nursing staff. The role includes orientation, mentoring, and ongoing competency development, with oversight of clinical and regulatory training requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with 3–5 years in long-term care, preferences for BSN, and experience in adult education and staff training.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of long-term care experience required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience in adult education and staff training preferred.
  • Prior experience as a nurse supervisor or manager preferred.
  • Strong understanding of long-term care regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and a commitment to team development and success.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to provide training across all shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver education and training programs for nursing staff.
