Job summary

Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Development Coordinator with a passion for training and educating stakeholders to provide the best care for residents. On call rotation and four hours on one weekend every 11–12 weekends are required.

You will develop in-service education, monitor nursing staff competencies, and mentor CNAs to ensure regulatory compliance and quality care. CPR certification and current RN licensure are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting; long-term care setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement job skills training and in-service education for nursing staff as required by regulations and employee health monitoring.
• Regularly check CNA skill competency, residents' well-being, and staff development needs; provide 1:1 instruction when necessary.
• Provide skill training to new staff in deficient areas before tasks are performed with residents.
