Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. offers an RN Residency program designed to facilitate a smooth transition to professional practice for new graduate RNs with less than 6 months of experience.

The program provides support through Unit-Based Leaders, Educators, NRP educators, Site Coordinators, and Preceptors to strengthen nursing practice, critical thinking and clinical skills for excellent patient care on the unit.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the Nursing Process with evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship of others.
• Support performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Education

Diploma in Nursing
