Job summary

BayCare Health System's St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Tampa is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU to provide high‑quality post‑operative care.

This full‑time, on‑site role offers night shifts (8:30 PM–7:00 AM) with occasional weekend work; you will lead, precept, and delegate care while upholding safety and clinical excellence. Required: Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, 2 years RN experience (PACU/CCU/ER preferred); Associates or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state of Florida).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; specialty certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; PACU/CCU/ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cares for a group of PACU patients using nursing process and standards.
• Delegates patient care activities to team members as appropriate.
• Serves as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

The RN Responsibilities Include

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care assistance and supervision to a child.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
