BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the PACU team in Same Day Surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL. The RN will care for pediatric patients, delegate tasks, and maintain professional accountability in a fast-paced PACU setting.

Required: BLS, RN license, ACLS; 2 years RN experience with PACU; Associate or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred). Shift: 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, Full Time.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification is required
• RN license is required
• ACLS Certification is required
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred
• 2 years RN experience is required
• 1 year RN experience in PACU with pediatric patients is preferred

Responsibilities

• Independently caring for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members
• Maintaining professional accountability and ongoing development
• Direct contact with pediatric patients and provide personal care assistance and supervision

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Direct contact with the child and has primary responsibility for providing personal care assistance and supervision to a child.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
