BayCare Health System is seeking an experienced RN for the Integrated ICU at Dunedin, FL. This full-time night shift position runs 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every-other-weekend requirements and no on-call duties.

The role requires an RN license and Nursing degree (Diploma/Associate/Bachelor), with preferred BSN. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Join a large Tampa Bay employer offering strong benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s in Nursing.
• 1 year RN ICU experience in Acute Care setting.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA).

Responsabilités

• Deliver nursing care in ICU using nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate care to health care team members as appropriate.
• Care for patients through recovery in critical care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient vitals and assessments to the care team.
• Identify and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care.
• Maintain high emotional intelligence to ensure positive patient experience.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing

• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting

• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – ICU responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care

• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge

• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
