Job summary

BayCare Health System in Dunedin, FL is seeking an RN for the ICU (Days). The role involves direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical ICU, with a 6:45 AM–7:15 PM shift and an every-other-weekend schedule. On-site work only, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Required RN license and nursing degree; 1 year ICU experience preferred; BLS and ACLS certifications expected. BayCare supports career development and a strong team culture in a large health network.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Nursing.
• 1 year RN ICU experience in Acute Care setting.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Care for ICU patients in the hospital setting using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and progress throughout recovery in critical care.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in patient condition and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
• Maintain professional accountability and participate in development.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication with patients and families.
