Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Joseph Warren Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care across patient populations.

You will assess patients, coordinate care, and work with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes. The role requires current RN licensure and supports ongoing safety and quality initiatives; BSN is preferred but not required, with ACLS/BLS handling per policy.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred, not required.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS or ACLS preferred; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, create and update care plans, monitor progress.
• Serve as primary contact for care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely in line with policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
