Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PreOp/PACU phase. You will assess preoperative and postoperative status, monitor cardiovascular/respiratory function, and implement individualized care plans across anesthesia modalities.

You’ll document thoroughly and hand off care to the team, while upholding the facility’s values and safety standards. Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, current state licensure, and required ACLS/PALS credentials, with BLS/BCLS current.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure in good standing.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors accurately.
• Describe pathophysiology of common diseases.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan including recovery from anesthesia across modalities.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates with relevant details.
• Document nursing care completely, accurately, and legibly.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and participate in quality improvement.
• Maintain competencies and pursue professional growth.
