Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced RN preceptor for the Nurse Residency Unit in Athens, GA. This part-time role supports new graduate nurses at the bedside, demonstrating and teaching best practices.

The NRU includes seven Med Surg departments and aims to foster growth in new nurse development within the Piedmont Athens Regional system. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Georgia RN licensure (NLC/eNCL multistate) required and BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across the life span.
• Assist with teaching and mentoring new graduates at the bedside.
• Coordinate patient care activities with the nursing staff.
