Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced RN preceptor to support new graduate nurses in the Nurse Residency Unit (NRU). The role is part-time, days shift from 7am to 7pm, and includes a sign-on bonus.

The NRU serves seven Med Surg departments and focuses on teaching, demonstrating and supporting growth at the bedside. Responsibilities include delivering nursing care across the lifecycle, coordinating patient care with the care team, and upholding high standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Teach, demonstrate and support new graduate nurses in the Nurse Residency Unit (NRU).
• Coordinate patient care activities and maintain standards of practice to ensure quality nursing care.
