Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA, is seeking an experienced RN preceptor for the Nurse Residency Unit to support new graduates at the bedside. The role involves teaching, demonstrating, and mentoring in a 7-department NRU, fostering new nurse development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• No experience required; new graduates eligible.
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license and BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
• The staff nurse functions within the policies and procedures of Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
