Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA is seeking an experienced RN to join the Nurse Residency Unit as a Preceptor. This role supports new graduates at the bedside, teaching, demonstrating, and guiding them through patient care.

The position is part-time, days 7am–7pm, with a sign-on bonus. RN licensure in Georgia and BLS are required; bachelor’s degree preferred; hospital experience in med-surg is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (required).
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across the lifecycle with standard nursing processes.
• Teach, demonstrate and support nursing staff, focusing on new graduates in the Nurse Residency Unit.
• Coordinate patient care activities and maintain professional standards of practice.
