Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, GA, is seeking an experienced RN preceptor for the Nurse Residency Unit to mentor new grads at the bedside. The NRU supports seven Med Surg departments and emphasizes growth of new nurse development.

The role focuses on teaching, demonstrating, and supporting new graduates, with part-time daytime hours (7am–7pm) and a sign-on bonus available to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• RN license in Georgia required (see Licenses and Certifications).

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
• The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
