Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a skilled RN for Pre-Op & PACU to ensure patient safety through peri-anesthesia care. You will educate patients, perform pre-procedure assessments, and monitor patients after anesthesia, preparing them for discharge with clear follow-up instructions.

Responsibilities include documenting care in the medical record, collaborating with physicians and hospital staff, and maintaining CMS and accreditation standards while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Ability to make sound and reasonable clinical decisions.
• Ability to concentrate on individual patient care and perform calmly under pressure.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, hospital partners, and ASC staff.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide pre-operative education.
• Accurately perform pre-procedure assessments and formulate a plan of care.
• Monitor post-anesthesia patients in the PACU and manage post-operative pain.
• Document all care and interventions in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to ensure patient safety and efficient operations.
