Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a skilled RN for the Pre-Op & PACU role to ensure patient safety throughout peri-anesthesia care. You will prepare patients for invasive procedures, provide education, perform health assessments, and develop individualized plans of care.

In PACU you will monitor post-anesthesia patients, manage pain, document care, recognize emergencies, and collaborate with physicians and staff to promote safe discharge and quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Strong communication with physicians and staff.
• Experience in peri-anesthesia care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide pre-operative education and instructions.
• Assess and monitor post-anesthesia and PACU patients.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs.
• Document assessments and care plans thoroughly in the medical record.
• Recognize potential emergency situations and respond appropriately.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and CMS/AAAHC standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff and hospital partners to ensure smooth daily operations.
