Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an RN for Pre-Op and PACU to ensure patient safety throughout the peri-anesthesia continuum. You will educate patients, perform health assessments, and develop individualized care plans. You will monitor patients post-operatively and ensure discharge readiness with clear instructions.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, teamwork, and adherence to CMS and AAAHC standards while collaborating with physicians and ASC staff to optimize patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively manage stressful situations with tact and professionalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, hospital partners, and ASC staff.
• Current, active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems and healthcare software applications.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedure assessments and plan of care based on patient needs.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide education and instructions.
• Document assessments and care plans in the medical record.
• Assess and monitor post-anesthesia and sedated patients in PACU.
• Provide post-operative pain management and discharge readiness.
• Document all post-operative care and interventions.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and CMS/CDC/AAAHC standards.
