Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Stockton, CA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.

Under the Center Manager and Center Physician, you will follow SOPs, respond to medical emergencies, assist with vaccination programs, and support EHS initiatives to ensure donor and employee safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized nursing education program
• Currently licensed or certified as RN, NP, or PA in the responsible state
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, confidential self-exclusion, and medical history review.
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions per SOPs.
• Review laboratory results (e.g., SPE) and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
• Provide donor safety guidance and refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed in medical or technical issues.
