Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP in Visalia, CA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Responsibilities include reviewing laboratory test results, responding to donor adverse events, and coordinating with Medical Affairs and EHS to ensure compliant, high-quality donor care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Licensed or certified as RN, NP or PA in the responsibility state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Eligibility for IV therapy per state requirements.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, education, medical history and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review SPE and lab results; relay unacceptable findings to physicians.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (HBV and influenza).
• Manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
