Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Neuro unit. This full-time role offers a 12-hour day shift with weekend and holiday rotation and a 36-hour work week in a 30-bed Acute/Neuro unit.

Qualified candidates must possess RN licensure in Maryland or a Compact state, BLS certification, and either a BSN or plan to obtain one. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential to delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
• Competency with electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care.
• Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate for patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
• Administer medications and monitor for efficacy and side effects.
• Assess, monitor and record patient condition and changes.
• Design, implement and evaluate nursing care plans with the team.
• Educate patients and families for discharge.
