Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Maryland RN license (or Compact State licensure) required.
• BLS certification; additional life support certifications as required by unit.
• Minimum of three years acute care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for PCU/Neuro during assigned shift.
• Coordinate patient care, staffing, and daily workflow by acuity and census.
• Supervise nursing and support staff, ensure clinical standards and evidence-based practice.
• Make cost-effective staffing, supply, and resource decisions.
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
• Develop and implement patient care standards and workflows.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives.
• Facilitate staff orientation, onboarding, and professional development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and corrective action.
• Promote service excellence and patient-centered care.
• Serve as clinical resource and role model for PCU/Neuro staff.
