Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an RN Transfer Center Specialist to coordinate patient transfer logistics, bed placement, and acceptance across facilities. You will work with clinicians to ensure accurate clinical information and timely access, while protecting patient data and supporting process improvements.

Active RN licensure and 1 year of acute care experience are required; Epic EHR and Genesys experience are preferred. This is an on-site role with flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN – Required.
• Active multistate RN licensure – Required (if applicable).
• ADN or diploma – Required.
• BSN – Preferred.
• 1 year of acute care experience – Required.
• Healthcare contact center – preferred.
• Epic EHR – preferred.
• Genesys contact center – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate to identify appropriate level of care and bed assignment.
• Communicate clinical presentation and timely access with facilities.
• Enter data accurately; protect PHI.
• Advise on patient status changes and transfer requirements.
• Act as liaison between physicians, hospital staff and outside agencies.
• Monitor compliance and support process improvements.
• Maintain HIPAA knowledge and regulatory awareness.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure timely acceptance and access.
• Participate in process improvement and peer review.
