Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking an RN to function as a clinical advisor for the Regional Transfer Center and Patient Placement Center. The role includes reviewing charts for pre-authorization and assessing bed requests for EC care after hours and on weekends.

Responsibilities include documenting level-of-care changes, providing backup for center calls, and supporting regional reporting. Requires BSN and Texas RN license, with Teletracking experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact state.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Experience with bed priority and levels of care.
• Familiarity with Teletracking system.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical advisor for Regional Transfer Center and Patient Placement Center.
• Review charts for pre-authorizations for procedures (surgery, chemo, etc).
• Assess EC bed requests for observation after hours and weekends.
• Document changes in level of care in EC Teletracking log and INET transfers.
• Provide backup for Regional Transfer Center calls when needed.
• Support regional reporting through EMResource as required by Patient Placement Director.
• Place PSO in medical records for direct admit regional transfers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
