Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Nurse to join the Emergency Department as a Patient Flow Coordinator (RN) on a full-time night shift (7 pm–7 am). You will oversee patient flow, coordinate bed management, and collaborate with ED teams to optimize throughput while upholding patient rights and safety.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ED experience.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with patients and staff.
• Proficiency using patient-care systems and desktops.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience taking vital signs manually.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care respects patient rights, preferences and expectations.
• Participate in policy/procedure formulation affecting patient flow.
• Provide staff performance feedback to ED leadership.
• Routinely round in triage, waiting areas, and patient rooms to oversee flow.
• Serve as liaison between Bed Management, ED team, and other departments to ensure timely placement.
