Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Active RN license; Georgia licensing required.
• BLS certification; ACLS and TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care respects patient rights, preferences and expectations.
• Participate in policy, procedure and process development for patient flow.
• Provide feedback to ED leadership on throughput, safety and ethics.
• Round throughout ED to oversee patient flow in triage, waiting rooms and rooms.
• Act as liaison between Bed Management, ED providers, nursing, case management and others.
• Coordinate patient flow into and out of the ED; supervise placement.
• Lead with prioritization and clear communication across disciplines.
• Maintain ED tracking board and report throughput performance.
• Participate in performance improvement projects and committees.
• Ensure regulatory and departmental policy compliance; propose changes as needed.
• Interact with patients and families; assist with emergency preparedness.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to Wellstar policies.
