Job summary

You will collaborate with physicians, the Flow Coordinator, and nursing staff to coordinate referrals, convey bed availability, and support emergency operations.

This role requires Virginia RN licensure, and a strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher from accredited School of Nursing.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in Virginia or eligibility for multistate licensure.
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude and strong verbal communication.
• Licensed or eligible for Virginia licensure by the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient admissions and transfers to optimize bed placement.
• Serve as the command center for patient flow across ED, admissions, surgeries, and transfers.
• Collaborate with Flow Coordinator to address throughput concerns.
• Coordinate patient referrals from outside physicians to local care teams.
• Provide bed availability information to Incident Command during disasters.
• On-call PACE and Remote Home Monitoring support for community services.
