Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Patient Flow Coordinator to ensure efficient bed placement and timely transfers across VCUHS and affiliated sites. The role includes coordinating with physicians, nurses, EVS, transport, and the One Call Center to maintain smooth patient flow.

The position requires an RN license in Virginia or eligibility for compact, with several years of acute care experience and ongoing professional education.

Competenze

• Three (3) years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• RN license in Virginia or eligible compact.
• 15 contact hours of Continuing Nursing Education per evaluation cycle.

Mansioni

• Coordinate patient flow across hospitals based on clinical status and bed availability.
• Triage admissions and transfers, coordinating bed placement with care teams.
• Serve as clinical and administrative resource for complex bed assignments.
• Coordinate acceptance and transport for transfer referrals via One Call Center.
• Assist admission physicians in determining appropriate level of care per criteria.
