Ochsner Health System seeks an experienced nurse leader to oversee patient flow, bed placement, admissions, and transfers within the hospital. The role requires coordinating with EVS and transport teams and communicating with multidisciplinary staff to ensure efficient patient care.

The candidate should have an RN license, 3 years of clinical experience, and preferred supervisory or transfer/call center experience, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as available.

Formación

• RN licensure in state of practice.
• 3 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred supervisory experience or transfer/call center experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical oversight and decision-making for daily patient flow and bed placement.
• Coordinate admissions and transfers; oversee EVS and transport operations related to patient flow.
• Facilitate relationships between leadership, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to assign patient rooms based on diagnosis and acuity.
• Assess staffing needs and participate in capacity surge planning.
• Collect and monitor data; perform rounds and supervise daily nursing unit operations.
• Engage in telemedicine, business development, and hospital outreach activities as required.
