Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Ohio is seeking a registered nurse with strong clinical judgment to provide patient-centered care across the nursing process. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with patients, families, and the care team.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care planning with SBAR, evidence-based interventions, timely documentation in the EMR, and participation in safety and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Ohio
• BSN within five years for new hires
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact; ACLS within six months for step-down/ICU areas

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates holistic assessment of the patient's physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and education needs.
• Establishes and prioritizes actual and potential patient problems; coordinates plan of care with patient and family, communicates using SBAR.
• Performs nursing actions based on orders; provides ongoing patient and family education in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Responds to emergencies with immediate, controlled action; adheres to infection control and safety protocols.
• Evaluates nursing care effectiveness; adjusts plan based on patient and family response; ensures continuity during handoff, rounds, and transfers.
• Documents the nursing process accurately in the EMR; maintains timely updates, patient education, and family response.
• Demonstrates leadership, supports professional growth, mentors peers, and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
