Job summary

Qualifications

• RN must hold active Ohio nursing license.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU.
• BSN must be earned within five years of hire.
• AD and Diploma nurses may be hired prior to 2010 with BSN pursued voluntarily.

Responsibilities

• Conduct holistic patient assessments using the hospital model.
• Coordinate and revise multidisciplinary plan of care with patient and family; set measurable goals.
• Communicate the plan of care using SBAR and handoff processes.
• Provide ongoing patient and family education and safety initiatives.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans based on patient/family response.
• Document nursing process accurately in the EMR.
• Demonstrate leadership; mentor peers and participate in professional development.
