Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking an Operating Room Service Line Coordinator to coordinate clinical and operational activities across multiple surgical specialties, collaborating with surgeons, CPD, materials management, vendors and nursing leadership to optimize service line performance and patient outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, ACLS, and strong leadership with OR nursing and management experience to ensure staffing, scheduling, education, and equipment readiness for perioperative

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing as validated through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• 5 Years of OR nursing experience required.
• 2 years of management experience preferred.
• ACLS certification required.
• RN - Registered Nurse license required.

Responsibilities

• Manages, plans, and monitors day-to-day clinical operations of specialty services.
• Serves as a clinical and operational liaison between surgeons, surgical staff, hospital leadership and ancillary departments.
• Identifies and coordinates physician needs for new products and submits to Value Analysis Committee with clinical rationale.
• Provides staff education and training on new procedures, technologies, protocols, supplies, and equipment.
• Collaborates with OR leadership to optimize room assignments and staffing.
• Assists with budgeting, capital planning, and service line development strategies.
• Monitors infection control and regulatory compliance within the service line.
• Supports service line performance by analyzing case volume, outcomes, and efficiency measures.
