Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking an Operating Room Service Line Coordinator, a registered nurse, to plan, coordinate, and implement clinical and operational activities for designated surgical services. You will partner with engineers, CPD, materials management, vendors, and nursing leadership to optimize service line performance and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing as validated through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• 5 years of OR nursing experience required; 2 years of management experience preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse required.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, plans, and monitors day-to-day clinical operations of specialty services.
• Serves as a clinical and operational liaison between surgeons, surgical staff, hospital leadership and ancillary departments.
• Identifies and coordinates physician needs and evaluates new products for service line impact.
• Provides guidance on best practices, EPIC documentation, specimen support, patient positioning, and surgeon preferences.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing leadership, materials management, CPD and other departments.
• Communicates with vendors to support specialty cases and ensure equipment and supplies are available.
