Job summary

UNMH seeks a Nurse Manager who will serve as the on-site representative of administration across departments during assigned periods. You will liaise with physicians, staff, patients and external institutions to promote communication and crisis management, while reporting incidents to senior management.

You will lead leadership initiatives, supervise staff, support quality improvement, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Essential: Program Graduate.
• Bachelor's degree required with nursing background.
• Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate is essential.
• RN license in NM or via reciprocal agreement.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient organizational structure and supervise staff.
• Promote staff development and orientation of supervisory personnel.
• Align departmental goals with hospital objectives and policies.
• Participate in committees and decision-making for department.
• Communicate needs and concerns to administration and PR as needed.
• Report incidents and actions to managers at end of shift.
• Lead patient safety initiatives and continuous quality improvement.
• Act as liaison among physicians, staff, patients, families, and departments.
