Job summary

UNM Hospitals is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to assume on-site leadership across departments during assigned periods. You will liaison with physicians, staff, patients, and families to promote communication, problem solving, and crisis management while ensuring adherence to policies and patient safety.

This role oversees staffing, supervision, and development, reports to senior management, and supports hospital goals with a focus on multidisciplinary collaboration and high-quality

Qualifications

• Education: Program Graduate; Bachelor's Degree and nursing credentials required.
• Experience: 3 years directly related experience in a healthcare setting.
• Credentials: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient organizational structure and supervise staff with performance appraisals.
• Promote staff development and participate in orientation of supervisory personnel.
• Support department and hospital goals, policies, and programs as assigned.
• Participate in committees and decision-making to influence operations.
• Communicate needs and concerns through proper channels and coordinate with departments.
• Lead patient safety initiatives and act as liaison between stakeholders.
• Provide leadership to ensure patient safety and satisfaction across shifts.
• Coordinate with leadership to initiate disaster plans and emergency responses.
