Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nurse Leader to oversee unit nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care. You will supervise staff, coordinate patient flow with interdisciplinary teams, and monitor compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements include RN licensure, BSN, and CPI/BLS certifications; two years of nursing experience with leadership preferred. Schedule is 24 hours per week with variable PT days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Two years nursing experience preferred; BSN required.
• BLS certification required within policy guidelines.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates administrative problems to nurse leaders and rounds to assess efficiency.
• Guides staff on laws and nursing practice act compliance.
• Coordinates shift huddles and meetings to share information.
• Ensures appropriate utilization of resources to meet patient care needs.
• Supervises nursing staff and documents actions.
• Advises nurses on new treatments and interprets policies.
• Coordinates patient flow, admissions, and discharges with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitors staffing using Float Pool/PRN personnel.
