Job summary
The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner at Manchester Memorial Hospital is a Registered Nurse with NPD practice judgement who leads learner education and competency development. Qualifications
- BSN required.
- CT RN license by hire date.
- NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire.
- BLS required.
- Minimum 3 years active clinical nursing experience.
- At least 1 year of acute care or ambulatory/ancillary experience.
- Experience as a preceptor.
Responsibilities
- Support learner competency development and education.
- Influence professional role growth within NPD practice.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to align regional NPD with system standards.
- Lead onboarding/orientation and transition-to-practice for Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
- Promote high reliability and LEAN process improvements.
