Job summary

The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner is a Registered Nurse with NPD practice judgement and expertise who influences learner competence and growth within Hartford HealthCare’s Nursing Professional Development framework.

This role partners with nursing leadership to promote competency management, clinical nursing education, policy standardization and onboarding of Hartford HealthCare colleagues across the Greater Manchester Region, including Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment or area of specialty for ambulatory/ancillary environments.
• Experience as a preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Support learners within Nursing Professional Development context and standards.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to foster competency management and education.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate educational programs and orientation plans.
