Qualifications
- RN license required and accredited nursing program completion.
- Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
- Two years of clinical LTC nursing experience with one year as educator preferred.
- Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
- Experience in Gerontology preferred.
- Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.
Responsibilities
- Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center.
- Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current patient care and nursing center practices.
- Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
- Perform annual competency testing and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Provide oversight to Employee Health Program and track immunizations for all employees.
