Job summary

Genesiscareers in Florence, AL seeks a Nurse Instructor to teach and coordinate CNA training, supervise students, and support orientation programs. A registered nurse license and at least two years of clinical experience are required, with preference for geriatric care.

You will mentor learners, ensure quality care across units, and participate in ongoing teaching of adult students, with BLS and state CPR requirements met.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Minimum two years full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
• One to two years in long-term care/geriatric nursing preferred.
• Must complete a course focused on teaching adult students and supervise nurse aides.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, teach and coordinate the certified nursing assistant training program.
• Supervise, monitor and evaluate nursing assistant students.
• Develop and implement nurse aide training program orientation/mentoring.
• Round in patient/resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services.
