Job summary

The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner is a Registered Nurse with NPD practice judgment who influences learner competence and growth within Hartford HealthCare’s network.

This role collaborates with nursing leadership to drive competency management, clinical education, onboarding, policy standardization and partnerships across Hartford HealthCare facilities, including Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Qualifications

• BSN required and CT license or eligibility prior to hire.
• Minimum 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• Experience as a preceptor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate nursing education programs.
• Support onboarding and orientation of new Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on competency standards and policy alignment.
• Utilize LEAN principles to improve patient care processes.
