Job summary

Northern Cardinal Rehab in Suffolk, VA is seeking an RN Night Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and clinical operations on overnight shifts, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, coordinate care plans, document in EHRs, respond to emergencies, and partner with physicians and other teams to maintain a safe, resident-centered environment.

VA license required, BSN preferred, CPR/BLS, 2–3 years in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience in long-term care or geriatric setting
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations, infection control, and care planning
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing care delivery to ensure quality, safety, and resident dignity
• Supervise and support nursing staff during overnight shifts
• Coordinate and supervise implementation of resident care plans
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate care and documentation
• Ensure shift hand-offs, documentation, and communication between teams
• Maintain regulatory compliance and accurate EHR documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
