Job summary

Northern Cardinal Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Night Supervisor in Suffolk, VA. The role oversees clinical and administrative nursing functions on overnight shifts to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and efficient resident services.

The position emphasizes leadership of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, accurate documentation in EHRs, and coordination with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience in long-term care or geriatric settings.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations, infection control, and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff during assigned overnight shifts to ensure quality, safety, and resident dignity.
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; provide guidance and clinical support.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (HIPAA, OSHA) and document in EHRs.
• Monitor medication administration and assist with or perform complex treatments when needed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and act as liaison between staff, residents, families, and physicians.
