Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• BSN from an accredited institution; BSN must be completed within four years of hire or promotion.
• RN license and BSN within required timeframes are mandated.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• FEMA ICS 100 and ICS 200 training; Emergency Notification System training; EMRE training within 12 months of hire.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• ACLS and PALS certifications upon hire or within six months of hire.
• Preferred: Critical Care or ED experience; Charge Nurse experience; national certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hospital activities and coordinate between patient care areas and departments for shift coverage.
• Respond to risk management, codes, traumas, and urgent patient care situations.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Oversee staffing, coverage gaps, and staff performance feedback.
• Promote patient flow and remove barriers to transitions in care.
• Foster a safe, collegial work environment and provide coaching and mentorship.
